This document establishes the terms and definitions relating to materials in the field of nanotechnologies, that is to say materials which include one or more regions at the nanoscale and which exhibit properties attributable to the presence of these regions at the nanoscale. It is intended to facilitate communication between organizations and individuals in the industrial sector and their interlocutors.
