ABSTRACT

This part of the IEC 62607 series of standards covers nanomaterials used for the manufacture of electrical energy storage devices (EECDs) and specifies a test method for evaluating the effect of nanomaterials on the resistance of EECOs to thermal runaway caused by an internal short circuit. When preparing samples, additives of nanomaterials are used, which are mixed with materials of positive and negative electrodes, electrolyte, applied to electrodes or a separator. This International Standard specifies requirements for a test specimen, test equipment, data analysis and interpretation of results, examples of forms for inclusion in a test report (see Annex A)
