This standard applies to layered clay nanomaterials (hereinafter referred to as nanoclays) in powder form and establishes a list of characteristics of nanoclays with an indication of the corresponding measurement methods for their determination. This standard does not establish the values โโof the characteristics of nanoclays and safety requirements, does not consider the effects of nanoclays on the environment and human health during their manufacture and use.
