Top 20 Countries by Nanotechnology Publications in 2022

Nano science and technology publications of China are growing at a remarkable rate. In 2022, the number of articles related to nanotechnology indexed in WoS by China, was equal to the combined nanotechnology-related publications of the next nine countries. However, India has secured its second place in this ranking. USA, Iran, and South Korea held the next ranks respectively. It should also be mentioned that Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt had the largest local share of nano articles out of all published articles. Local share of 4.7 % was recorded for USA. In 2022, about 8.7 % of all WoS indexed articles were related to nano science and technology. Five Islamic countries including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan were among the top 20 countries in this indicator.
