China is ahead of the pack with a 46 percent share of all nano articles in the world this year. China passed the 100,000 article mark for the second year in a row. India, which surpassed the USA in 2022, stays in second place, followed by the USA and South Korea in third and fourth place. Iran, like the United States, has been on a downward trend in the publication of nano articles for two years, and in 2023 it dropped from fourth to fifth place, with Saudi Arabia close behind. Nearly twenty percent of all articles published by Saudi Arabia and Iran are related to nanotechnology, which shows the special focus these countries have on research and development in this field. The appearance of Egypt among the top ten countries in this indicator is also noteworthy.
