Smart textiles are among the areas which seem to possess an enormous potential to provide added value to textile materials. 1D-NEON is a 4-year H2020 NMP project developing fiber-based smart materials along with an integrated technology platform for the manufacturing of new products, enabling applications in sensing, lighting, energy and electronics.
