Researchers at IMDEA Nanociencia have developed highly sensitive carbon nanotube sensors capable of detecting volatile organic compounds at concentrations below 100 ppb. When arranged in arrays, these sensors act as an electronic nose, selectively identifying gases like ammonia, nitric oxide, isopropanol, and acetone.
