Influence of materials on water intended for human consumption - Influence due to migration - Part 4: Test methods for membranes for water treatment

This document describes a test method to determine possible adverse effects of membrane elements and modules for water treatment on drinking water quality. In principle, this document applies to modules for microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis and electrodialysis, which are used for water treatment in public waterworks and in drinking water installations. An evaluation of the effectiveness of membrane filters in removing contaminants in the treated water is not made.
