This standard applies to a bulk carbon nanostructured material. The nanomaterial is produced by the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons (methane, propane) with or without gaseous non-metallic compounds (boron, silicon) on graphite substrates of a specific shape (flat, cylindrical, or other). The nanomaterial is a homogeneous, isotropic, consolidated material with turbostratic carbon crystallites ranging in size from 9 to 15 nm. The nanomaterial is manufactured as cylindrical, sleeve-shaped, or plate-shaped products. The nanomaterial is intended for use in the rocket and space, aviation, nuclear, and other engineering fields, in the military-industrial complex, as well as in medicine for the manufacture of artificial heart valves in cardiac surgery, joint replacements in orthopedics, and other medical devices.
