This standard applies to graphene-containing nanomaterials produced in the form of powders and suspensions (hereinafter referred to as nanomaterials), and establishes measurement methods for determining the structural characteristics of graphene, including 1LG graphene, 2LG graphene, FLG graphene, and graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs), typically after the deposition of individual graphene flakes on a substrate. In this standard, the structural characteristics of graphene include: the number of layers/thickness of graphene flakes, the linear dimensions of graphene flakes, the types of layer packing, the numerical fraction of graphene flakes, and the specific surface area of the nanomaterial. The measurement methods established in this standard include the procedure for conducting measurements, sample preparation procedures, processing and analysis of the obtained results.
