This standard applies to materials containing single-wall carbon nanotubes and/or multi-wall carbon nanotubes and specifies an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry method for the determination of impurities of chemical elements other than carbon. This standard establishes procedures for the preparation of nanomaterial samples to ensure the accurate and quantitative determination of the mass fraction of impurities of chemical elements using the ICP-MS method.
