This International Standard applies to material containing single-walled carbon nanotubes and / or multi-walled carbon nanotubes and specifies an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry method for the determination of impurities of chemical elements other than carbon. This standard establishes procedures for the preparation of nanomaterial samples to ensure accurate and quantitative determination of the mass fraction of impurities of chemical elements by ICP-MS.
