This standard applies to electrochromic nanocoatings (ECN) applied to the surface of glass intended for the manufacture of insulating glass units and laminated glass, and establishes a method for accelerated aging tests. The accelerated aging test method is used to monitor the solar radiation transmittance of products with ECNs intended for glazing translucent building structures (window and door units, display cases, enclosure elements for loggias, balconies, structural glazing of facades, etc.). The test method established in this standard is applicable only to chromogenic ECNs, which can be switched between different transmittance states under the influence of electrical voltage or current, and is not applicable to photochromic and thermochromic coatings. This standard applies to ECNs and glass with ECNs manufactured using inorganic or organic materials. This standard may be used for testing electrochromic coatings.
