This standard provides standard guidelines regarding the following key control characteristics:
This standard measures the elemental content of powders composed of graphene-based materials by the following methods:
- CS analyzer and ONH analyzer This standard covers the measurement of the content of elements such as carbon (C), sulfur (S), oxygen (O), nitrogen (N) and hydrogen (H).
This method measures the content of elements carbon and sulfur in graphene powder by an infrared gas detector (IGD) using a non-dispersive infrared adsorption CS analyzer after converting the graphene powder to CO, CO2 and SO2. The content of elements oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen in graphene powder is measured by an ONH analyzer after pyrolysis. The oxygen content is measured by a non-dispersive infrared adsorption gas detector after converting the powder to CO and CO2. Nitrogen is measured by a thermal conductivity detector for the N2 generated after conversion, and hydrogen is measured by a thermal conductivity and infrared gas detector (IGD) for the H2 and H2O generated after conversion. This standard can be used to confirm the element content of graphene-related powder materials (graphene, graphene oxide (GO), and reduced graphene oxide (rGO).
