Established by adopting ISO/TS 80004-5:2011(E/F) Nanotechnologies - Vocabulary - Part 5: Nano/bio interface, using an identical reprinting method with the English version of ISO as the primary source. - Defines a list of terms and definitions related to the interface between nanomaterials and biology. This standard is intended to facilitate communication between scientists, engineers, technologists, designers, manufacturers, regulatory bodies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), consumer organizations, the public, and other interested parties regarding:
— The application or utilization of nanotechnology in biology or biotechnology;
— The utilization of biological content or principles in nanotechnology.
