Deep learning solves long-standing challenges in identification of nanoparticle shape

By analyzing the trajectory of Brownian motion of nanoparticles in liquid using deep learning, researchers were able to identify spherical and rod-shaped gold nanoparticles, which cannot be distinguished using conventional nanoparticle tracking methods, with approximately 80% accuracy for the first time.
