Novel pathway harnesses crystal defects to enhance electrocaloric performance

A research team led by associate Prof. YIN Lihua from Institute of Solid State Physics, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences developed a new route based on lattice disorder effect to improve electrocaloric effect in BaTiO3-based systems.
