Lab study shows tumor-invading protein delivers therapy straight to the brain

A unique protein designed by Cedars-Sinai Cancer investigators can cross the protective blood–brain barrier safely and deliver therapy directly into cancerous tumor cells, a preclinical study shows. The findings, which could help clinicians target brain tumors previously unreachable by chemotherapy, have been published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology.
