Scientists develop innovative aerosol system to build asymmetric superstructures

A research team has developed a novel aerosol-based emulsion system that enables the self-assembly of asymmetric nanostructures—something long considered a major challenge in materials science. The team includes researchers from the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with collaborators at the University of California.
