Beyond the limits of conventional electronics: stable organic molecular nanowires

Scientists at the Tokyo Institute of Technology created the first thermally stable organic molecular nanowire devices using a single 4.5-nm-long molecule placed inside electroless gold-plated nanogap electrodes.
