Terahertz science discloses the ultrafast photocarrier dynamics in carbon nanotubes

A team of researchers at the Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University, in collaboration with TU Wien, Nanyang Technological University, Rice University, University of Alberta and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, comes closer to unraveling how quasiparticles in carbon nanotubes behave under a strong electric field. Their work provides a significant push towards the realization of advanced optoelectronic devices based on low-dimensional materials that can potentially outperform existing technologies.
