DESCRIPTION
In a test on mice, UCLA researchers showed that their sterosome, when implanted in a bone defect, activated bone regeneration without needing additional drugs. In the second phase of their study, they saw an average reduction of roughly 50% in the size of the defects after they implanted a drug-loaded sterosome on a 3D scaffold.
