Method offers inexpensive imaging at the scale of virus particles

Using an ordinary light microscope, MIT engineers devised a technique for imaging biological samples down to an accuracy of about 10 nanometers -- a scale that allows them to image viruses and raises the possibility of imaging single biomolecules.
