This meeting continues the series of biennial meetings aiming at a
deeper understanding of the mechanisms of polymer crystallization which
was initiated by Prof. Gert Strobl, University of Freiburg. In addition
to the classical topics of Polymer Crystallization we want to include
this time two sessions on neighboring fields which play an important
role in current research and in which partially crystalline structures
of macromolecules are important, namely functional polymers and polymers
of biological origin. With these sessions we hope to include recent
developments and enable fruitful and broader discussions and exchange.
The meeting is organized by the Collaborative Research Center
SFB/TRR 102 “Polymer under Multiple Constraints”
and will bring together scientists and students from macromolecular
physics, engineering and chemistry which are active in this field.
