A unique clay deposit on SA's Eyre Peninsula contains millions of tonnes of high-quality natural nanomaterials. A team at the University of Newcastle is using the clay to develop advanced nanotechnologies. The team has already synthesized carbon dioxide-capturing materials that can capture 1.1 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of material.
