The second annual report of StatNano includes three major sections. The first section deals with nanoscience indicators according to ISI-indexed nano-articles (Chapter 2). The second section presents innovation indicators in the field of nanotechnology (Chapter 3) according to granted patents and published patent applications in the following two patent offices: United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and European Patent Office (EPO). The third section presents statistics and information on StatNano databanks (Chapter 4-6) including nanotechnology related events, research organizations and products.
