The Nanotechnology Products Database (NPD) monitored around 80 FDA-approved nanotechnology-based drugs (nanodrugs) on the market worldwide by November 2020. The nanodrugs are identified based on manufacturers’ claims or the NPD’s conjecture according to the definition of “nanotechnology” and “nanotechnology products” established by the International Standards Organization (ISO) under the standards of ISO/TS 80004-1:2015, ISO/TS 18110:2015, and ISO/TR 18637:2016. This report includes information about the drugs’ underlying nanotechnology, generic name, dosage form, dosage strengths, administration route, therapeutic class, drug class, FDA approval date, granted patents at the USPTO, marketing category, manufacturer, technology developer, labeler, and market information.
