This document provides guidelines for assessing inhalation exposure to nano-objects and their aggregates and agglomerates (NOAA ) in the workplace. It contains recommendations on sampling and measurement strategies to be adopted, as well as methods for data evaluation. Although the main focus of this document is on the assessment of nano-objects, the approach is also applicable to exposure to aggregates and associated agglomerates, i.e. NOAAs, and particles released from nanocomposites and products obtained by nanotechnology.
