This paper describes methods for the characterization of mesoscopic form factors of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT). The techniques used are scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), viscometry and light scattering analysis. This document also includes the terms necessary to define the characterization of the length between persistent static curvatures (LCSP). Measurement methods are provided for the assessment of LCSP, which typically ranges from several tens of nanometers to several hundred micrometers. Recognized mathematical concepts and expressions, analogous to polymer physics, are employed for the definition of the mesoscopic form factors of MWCNTs.
