This document specifies the test instruments and test methods for determining the particle size-specific filtration fraction separation efficiency of flat filter media against nanoparticles in the size range between 20 and 500 nm in the air. The test methods in this document are limited to the use of spherical or almost spherical particles in order to avoid uncertainties due to particle size.
