ABSTRACT
This ÖVE / ÖNORM describes methods for measuring the magnetic alternating field properties in the alternating field of materials other than electrical steel and soft ferrite at frequencies in the range of 20 Hz to 200 kHz. The materials covered by this ÖVE / ÖNORM include those special alloys that are listed in IEC 60404-8-6, amorphous and nanocrystalline materials, pressed and sintered as well as metallic injection-molded parts such as those listed in IEC 60404-8-9 , Castings and soft magnetic composite materials. The aim of this standard is to define the general principles and technical details of the measurement of the magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials using the ring test method. In the case of materials in powder form, the material is brought into the shape of a ring test using a pressing process that is suitable for this. Magnetic measurements in a constant field on soft magnetic materials must be carried out in accordance with the ring test method according to IEC 60404-4. The determination of the magnetic characteristics of soft magnetic components must be carried out in accordance with IEC 62044-3.
