ABSTRACT
This European Standard specifies the requirements for the design, function and test methods for membrane filter systems with a filter fineness of less than 1 μm, namely microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO), for drinking water installations within of buildings to remove limit concentrations of suspended and colloidal solids, microorganisms, organic molecules from drinking water and / or to reduce the concentration of dissolved solids and applies to systems with a minimum nominal pressure PN 10, connections between DN 15 and DN 100 and a maximum Operating temperature of 30 ° C. This standard relates to membrane filter systems, the components of which can be partially or completely backwashed or intended for single use, depending on the type of system. It only applies to units that are permanently installed at the entry point or at the extraction point of the supply line. In addition to the filter device, a membrane filter system can contain devices for pre- and / or post-treatment. The normative Annex D "Installation, operation and maintenance" has been added.
