Influence of materials on water intended for human consumption - Influence due to migration - Part 4: Test methods for membranes for water treatment

This European Standard describes a test method for the determination of possible adverse effects of membranes for water treatment on the drinking water quality. In principle, the standard can be used for modules of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis and electrodialysis, which are used for water treatment in public waterworks and in drinking water installations. The determination of the effectiveness of membrane filters for removing impurities in the treated water is not the subject of this standard.
