ABSTRACT
This European standard applies to membrane filter systems with a filter fineness of less than 1 µm, i.e. microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (en: reverse osmosis, RO) for drinking water installations inside buildings, for Removal of limit concentrations of suspended and colloidal solids, microorganisms, organic molecules from drinking water and to reduce the concentration of dissolved solids, with a minimum nominal pressure of PN10, connections between 15 NS and 100 NS and a maximum operating temperature of 30 ° C. This standard specifies the requirements with regard to construction, function and test methods. It only relates to permanently installed units at the entry point (en: point-of-entry, POE) or at the withdrawal point (en: point-of-use, POU) of the supply line. This standard applies to membrane filter systems, the components of which, depending on the type of system, can be partially or completely backwashed or intended for single use. In addition to the filter device, a membrane filter system can contain devices for pre- and / or post-treatment.
