This standard applies to nanocomposite metal-containing tribological coatings based on diamond-like carbon and fullerene-like carbon nitride. Nanocoatings are used to reduce the coefficient of friction in rolling and plain bearings, gyroscopes, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, centrifugal pump impellers, ball and automotive valves, and other friction pair components.
