This standard applies to clay nanomaterials containing nanoplatelets (hereinafter referred to as nanoclays), produced in the form of powders and suspensions, intended for the production of gas-impermeable films (films with gas-barrier properties), and establishes a list of characteristics with the corresponding measurement methods for their determination. This standard does not establish the values ​​of nanoclay characteristics or safety requirements, and does not address the impact of nanoclays on the environment and human health during their production and use.
