This standard applies to powders containing technical nanoparticles (hereinafter referred to as nanopowders) and establishes a list of the main characteristics of nanopowders, including nanoparticle size, chemical composition, and specific surface area, and the corresponding measurement methods used to determine them. This standard is intended to promote understanding and interaction between consumers, regulatory authorities, and representatives of various industries on issues of nanopowder characterization.
