This standard applies to silver nanoparticles (SNPs) in powder (nanopowder) or suspension (nanosuspension) form intended for use as antibacterial agents and establishes a list of SNP characteristics with the corresponding measurement methods for their determination. This standard establishes a list of characteristics of antibacterial SNPs, the values ​​of which must be provided by the manufacturer upon delivery to the consumer and taken into account during the manufacture of the final product. This standard does not establish the characteristics of antibacterial SNPs or safety requirements, and does not address the impact of SNPs on the environment and human health during their manufacture and use.
