This standard applies to organophilic and hydrophilic nanostructured clays in powder form (hereinafter referred to as nanoclays) modified with quaternary ammonium salts. This standard applies to nanoclays used as additives in the production of polymer and paint materials, drilling fluids, and bitumen emulsions to impart the required physical, mechanical, barrier, and fire-resistant properties.
