ABSTRACT

This standard, part of the IEC 62607 series of standards, applies to electrode nanomaterials used in the manufacture of electrical energy storage devices and specifies an infrared spectroscopy (IR spectrometry) method for determining carbon content. The method is used to determine the mass fraction of carbon in electrode nanomaterials in the range from 0.001% to 100%. Based on the results obtained using the method specified in this standard, the consumer will be able to decide on the suitability of the electrode nanomaterial for the application and select an electrode nanomaterial with the appropriate carbon content.
