This standard applies to a filter material containing a layer of polymeric nanofibers (hereinafter referred to as filtering nanomaterial) used in air purification filters (hereinafter referred to as filters). This International Standard establishes a list of the characteristics of the filter nanomaterial and provides guidance on the use of appropriate measurement methods for their determination. This standard does not establish the values ​​of the characteristics of the filter nanomaterial and safety requirements, including the impact of filter nanomaterials on the environment and human health during their manufacture and use.
