ABSTRACT

This technical specification provides guidelines for identifying molecules bound to the surface by measuring dehydrated AuNP membranes with FT-IR before and after nanomaterial cytotoxicity testing. Note 1 Surface ligands may be bound to AuNPs before testing, and organic or biomolecules may additionally cover the surface during the cytotoxicity test. Note 2 Although it is not possible to specifically distinguish between types of nucleic acids, amino acids, and lipids based on infrared spectra, nucleic acids, amino acids, and amino acids can be identified by detecting the infrared absorption bands of the corresponding phosphodiester, amine, or lipid using FT-IR spectroscopy. , it can be observed that lipids and cell membrane components are bound to AuNP.
