Workplace atmospheres - Characterization of ultrafine aerosols/nanoaerosols - Determination of the size distribution and number concentration using differential electrical mobility analysing systems

This standard is the official English version of the European standard EN ISO 28439 (April 2011 edition). The standard provides guidelines for the determination of the numerical concentration and dimensional distribution of ultrafine aerosols / nanoaerosols through the use of particle dimensioners based on mobility (also called differential mobility analyzers). Only the fraction of particles related to aerosols is considered. For ultrafine aerosols / nanoaerosols the exposure units are important, both the numerical concentration and that of surface area.
