FuelGems Inc., a Silicon Valley startup, has launched an advanced nanotechnology that can help in controlling the usage of diesel and gasoline.

After decades of research and development, elaborate university testing, and also testing by common drivers on a regular basis, the proprietary nanoparticle is set for large-scale production.

Every year, corporate fleets in Europe and the United States typically spend more than $200 billion on fuel, according to EIA. At a global level, the petroleum fuel market is pegged at $3.5 trillion. Everyone wants to find ways to save on fuel since it is a costly line item.

For FuelGems users, a return on investment (ROI) of around 700% is typically achieved which adds up to phenomenal savings considering the size of the industry. In fact, more than 90% of Uber drivers surveyed are keen on using the nanoparticle to lower their fuel expenses.

Apart from saving money for users, no similar products are available on the market: Merely 1 to 3 g of FuelGems nanoparticles per one ton of fuel—an amazingly small amount—can reduce fuel consumption by as much as 7% to 10%, while simultaneously reducing the emissions of greenhouse gas. The nanoparticles’ lubricating effect also boosts the lifespan of fuel injectors, the engine, and fuel pump.

While fuel additives are used by BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, and Chevron, a majority of these products are costly and only provide the effects of engine cleaning and do not reduce consumption of fuel and thus the associated costs. FuelGems, in this regard, is really exclusive.

The FuelGems product can be used easily—for example, the mixture can be added to centralized filling station fuel tanks by large fleet operators, or the mixture can be added to fuel tanks by drivers when they are filling up. In addition, FuelGems product is ecologically safe and does not present any danger to vehicles and the environment. The nanoparticles do not clog the diesel particulate and they ignite within the engine itself. Moreover, vehicle warranty is not affected by FuelGems.

During the UN Conference held in Paris, a total of 170 countries announced to end the reliance on fossil fuel. Leading automakers like Volkswagen, Hyundai, Toyota, Cummins, and GM have better engine technology and launched fuel cell and electric cars, but despite this fact, 80% of all cars will still be driven by diesel or gasoline by 2050.

The world certainly requires an urgent solution. FuelGems Inc. already has a solution to decrease the use of petroleum fuels, cut down emissions, and save a considerable amount of cost for drivers. It is indeed a win-win solution for all.
