Abstract: The book �Current and Future Developments in Nanomaterials and Carbon Nanotubes: Applications of Nanomaterials in Energy Storage and Electronics� consists of 15 chapters that summarize the recent progress in applications of nanomaterials like metal oxides, carbon nano-onions, carbon nanotubes and graphene oxides-based hybrids, Photovoltaic (PV) system in solar energy harvesting, opto-electronics, polymer exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), bio-electronics.

Some of the chapters summarize the recent progress in applications of nanomaterials like Carbon Nanotubes, Metal Oxides, and Graphene oxides-based hybrids in solar energy harvesting using recent Photovoltaic Technologies. Similarly, some of the chapters review the fundamentals and state-of-the-art developments on Nanowires, Graphene Quantum Dots, Boron nitrides, Carbon Nano Onions and Metal Organic Frameworks leading to the fabrication of Super capacitors, Bio-sensors, Lithium ion batteries and Hydrogen storage applications. Further, few chapters discuss the next generation fuel cells using Polymer Nano composites, Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Nanocomposite and Opto-electronic Nanomaterials for optical memory and displays devices.

About the editor:
Dr. Sushanta K. Sahoo did his PhD in Polymer Science and Technology from Utkal University, Odisha in 2016. Subsequently, he worked as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow at IIT Roorkee during 2016-2018. Currently, he is working as a Scientist in Material Science and Technology Division. He has published more than 25 research papers in peer reviewed International Journals and 05 book chapters in the field of polymers and composites. He has been awarded with CAIRD � 2020 � CSIR Award for S&T innovations for rural development � 2020, National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) by SERB, DST, Govt. of India and Merit Scholarship in Polymer Processing� for Academic Excellence and Innovative Research by Polymer Processing Academy (PPA), Mumbai.
Prof. (Dr.) Gaurav Manik is currently serving as Associate Professor and Head of Department of Polymer and Process Engineering at IIT Roorkee. He holds a PhD (IIT Bombay), M.Tech (IIT Kanpur) and B.Tech (HBTI Kanpur) in Chemical Engineering. Prior to joining IITR, he has served extensively in industrial corporates (3M, Indo Gulf Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd., Classic Stripes Pvt. Ltd.) and academia (BITS Pilani, BIET Jhansi) totaling up his rich experience to 17+ years. He has 150 research publications in international peer reviewed SCI journals, patent applications, conferences and book chapters. He has significantly valued 66 publications in peer-reviewed Journals of repute in area of Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engg., Polymer Science & Engineering such as Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy, Microchimica Acta, Composites B: Engineering, Applied Surface Science, Polymer, Progress in Organic Coatings, ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, to name a few and holds 7 granted patents/patent applications of industrial commercial relevance, has contributed to 22 books, and made 50 conference publications.
