4th International Conference on Metal-Organic Frameworks and Open Framework Compounds

Start Date Sep 28, 2014
End Date Oct 1, 2014

DESCRIPTION

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a family of nanoporous materials, the recent development of which has made a significant impact on mainstream research in the areas of materials science and coordination chemistry. This MOF2014 conference, covering all of the related areas of MOF chemistry and other developing porous materials, will benefit not only specialists in the field but also scientists in other areas, stimulating an exchange of new ideas and leading participating students toward future breakthroughs. MOF2014 will highlight three key areas: Fundamental Study and Discovery of MOFs: Keywords: new structures and fabrication, unusual phenomena in pores/channels Functions, Applications, and Commercialization of MOFs: Keywords: storage, separation, catalysis, sensing, conductivity, bio-inspired functions Hybridization of MOFs and Organic Networks: such as Covalent Organic Frameworks (COF) and Molecular Cage-Type Compounds Oral presentations by world-leading scientists will be delivered in three parallel sessions. Poster presentation for all the areas of MOF and other porous compounds will also be given.
