This technical standard presents a list of the fundamental characteristics that are commonly determined for nanoparticles in powder form. This document establishes specific measurement methods for each of these characteristics. This technical standard does not specify acceptable quantitative criteria in relation to the characteristics, since they are the subject of agreement between buyers, sellers and regulatory bodies. Characteristics specifically related to health, safety and environmental aspects, as well as characteristics related to specific applications of nanoparticles in powder form, are excluded from this document.
